This painting came from a plein air paint day with my friend Trevor Ledford out at the Chickamauga Battlefield. We only had a 2-3 good hours of daylight to get a quick sketch in. Those sorts of exercises are great to keep you from thinking too much and just trying to get down as much as you can. Really enjoy the scenery out at the Battlefield, so many nice spots to paint.  --lin
