the art of Linjitsu.......Skin
(want to read my story of tattoo, hike over here.)
Body art is a sacred and ritual practice that has always been a part of the human landscape. I developed a fascination with tattoo growing up, seeing large scale tattoos on a guy in our neighborhood. At the time, I found a home in books and studying old things. While in college for anthrolpology, I began working in the body art world, studying the trade and learning body piercing, then tattooing. It fit with my studies in culture and became an in depth working field study. I have worked in the trade in some capacity ever since. There is something so enrapturing about having art on your skin that travels with you wherever you go. It is something that still fascinates me all these years later.
If you'd like to discuss a custom tattoo or tattoo ceremony---> shoot me a message through this sites contact form.
(Before emailing, please read over the Notes section on this page for further important information and requirements for booking.)
NOTES:
I only take on certain kinds of tattoo work-- primarily custom work where I can have freedom to interpret your idea in a way that fits with your body, existing collection of work, and my own style. A project between the two of us is where all those things meet. I want to give you a great piece of art that you'll be proud to wear for the rest of your life.
Styles I prefer:
Conceptual Illustrative (interesting ideas drawn in my own way),
Geometric/Ornamental (fits your body in a striking way)
Japanese, Traditional (bold work that stands the test of time)
(If you are unsure if your intended project falls within these styles, feel free to shoot me a message, if I cannot take on your project I often know someone who would do a great job for you. )
